Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan First Look from Mahanati

On the eve of Malayalam Actor Dulquer Salmaan birthday on July 28th, Makers of Mahanati surprised everyone with a picture of Dulquer Salmaan’s look as Gemini Ganesan from the film. Dulquer is acting as Gemini Ganesan in the Savitri biopic Mahanati. The poster calls him ‘Kadhal Mannan’ (the king of love) which was a nickname of the veteran hero for the romantic roles he played in films.

Film’s production house, Vyjayanthi Films shared the picture on twitter and wrote, Wishing a very Happy Birthday to our Kadhal Mannan, The King of Romance @dulQuer !!! #GeminiGanesh #HappyBirthdayDulquer #Mahanati #మహానటి”. Dulquer also tweeted, “Such a lovely surprise from Team #Mahanati !! Thanks, Nagi, Swapna, Priyanka, the wonderful Ashwini Garu and everyone from the film !!”.

Actress Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Mahanti Savitri in the film, which is said to be portraying the rise and fall of the actress. Speaking about the film, director Nag Ashwin had said in an interview, “It’ll be a magnum opus period film set in the golden era. With massive set pieces, the film will be unlike anything we’ve explored in Indian cinema.”

The makers are leaving no stones unturned in the making of the film to ensure the film is a huge success and brings out some unknown facts about the iconic actress Savitri.
